Does A History Of Adultery Affect Who Gets Custody In Brooklyn Divorces?

A history of adultery probably won’t play a large role in determining custody in Brooklyn, but there are exceptions.

If the cheating spouse exposed children to the adultery, such as by bringing the kids on a date to the movies, or otherwise mixed their parental role with their infidelity, there may be grounds to suggest a lack of judgment on that spouse’s part.

In most cases though, adultery isn’t something that suggests a lack of parental fitness to the courts, and probably won’t play a large role in determining who gets custody.

The attorneys at Zelenitz, Shapiro & D’Agostino have worked with clients on both sides of the adultery issue, and know how to fight to maintain your relationship with your kids.
